Welcome to Mechanical Engineering Department at Terna Engineering College, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. In this institute, Mechanical Engineering started in 2014 with the intake of 60. Later on, it was increased to 120 in the year 2017.Our goal for undergraduate students is to give them a quality education with hands on experience which will be useful to the society at large.
Each of our faculty members is ready and well equipped to achieve this goal. Mechanical Engineering is the most sought-out branch of Engineering. In the constantly evolving technological scenario Mechanical Engineering has been the very backbone of the industrial infrastructure. It is an area of study in which knowledge of mathematics and science are combined together with experience and judgment for fulfilling the practical human necessities.
The formal education of a Mechanical Engineer includes subjects such as Material Sciences, Strength of Materials, Theory of Machines, Mechanical Vibration, Machine Design, Fluid Mechanics, Heat & Mass Transfer and CAD/CAM/CAE etc. The department is currently being headed by Dr. C. M. Choudhari and has faculty poised to deliver quality engineering education.

The Machine Shop of the Mechanical Engineering Department has a “Center of Excellence” with “GODREJ & BOYCE”
The Students of Mechanical Engineering are participating in “SUPRA SAE INDIA 2017” racing competition with the team “GENESIS MOTORSPORTS” at “BUDDH INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT, GREATER NOIDA”.
Students of department participate in the various industries oriented projects and win the prizes. The faculty of the department has several publications to their credit in various National and International Journals.
