In the last few years there have been enormous changes in technology, opening up new challenges and opportunities everyday which have been embraced gracefully by our educational institute. Department of General Engineering trains all students of all UG programs at first year level to strength their Scientific, Mathematical and Technical base.

This department has been set up in TEC since its inception in 1991.The department consists of subjects under Humanities and Sciences such as Mathematics, Applied Physics and Chemistry, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Drawing, Basic Electrical Engineering and Communication Skills. These subjects provide the basic knowledge and skill that will help students to imbibe fundamental concepts necessary to become engineers in the core subjects. The department has inputs of 660 students from all the engineering disciplines of TEC.

To be at par with global standards of education and technology, we constantly keep upgrading our facilities, laboratories, technology and teaching methodologies.

This department has a perfect blend of highly qualified, experienced and compassionate faculty members who works on polishing every student individually to bring out the best in him. We believe in developing overall personality of our students and make them a worthy technocrat by keeping them abreast with the latest developments in the field of technology. The state of the Art facilities in Terna like huge class rooms, well equipped laboratories, well designed seminar hall, big auditorium, full edged library, computer center with latest systems, softwares and internet facilities to work with diverse cultures across the globe.The department has Learning Management Systems(LMS) to foster e-learning among students.
