A hearty welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Terna Engineering College, Navi Mumbai. Mechanical Engineering started in 2014 with the intake of 60 seats. Later on, it was increased to 120 seats in the year 2017. The department's vision is to offer value based education and pursue excellence in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

The department has well qualified and dedicated faculty. The department strives to impart knowledge and training of the highest standard. The objective of the department is to prepare students for a successful career in Industry, Research and Academics to meet the needs of growing technology. Our efforts are to develop the ability among students from concept generation to product design and development.

We encourage the students to work as members of a team on multidisciplinary projects. The Department of Mechanical Engineering provides students with a sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems and to prepare them for higher studies as well as research.

For the overall development of the students; Department of Mechanical Engineering is associated with the professional bodies such as SAEINDIA, ISHRAE, and ASHRAE. We have an active Mechanical Engineering Students Association (MESA). These clubs organize various activities such as seminars, workshops and competitions to provide knowledge about cutting edge technology to the students. This helps the students to develop skills like Leadership, Team Building, Managerial, and Work ethics with Lifelong learning. Our Students participate in various State and National level technical competitions and win prizes. Students showcase their talent in various sports and intercollegiate events and win prizes. Our graduates are working in various Multinational Companies, Government and Research organizations. The Department has an active Alumni Association that helps in exchange of professional knowledge, seminars, workshops & training courses.
