Terna Engineering College (TEC), affiliated with the University of Mumbai and progressing toward academic autonomy, is committed to delivering quality technical education through structured academic processes, innovative pedagogies, and outcome-based learning. Our academic framework is designed to ensure effective curriculum delivery, continuous assessment, and holistic student development in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
At TEC, we strictly adhere to the academic calendar and follow a systematic approach to curriculum implementation and monitoring through the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). Our focus is on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), ensuring that Course Outcomes (COs), Program Outcomes (POs), and Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs) are clearly defined, measured, and continuously improved. We have also adopted modern pedagogical approaches, including experiential learning, project-based learning, and the ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction) model, to enhance student engagement and improve learning effectiveness.
Our institution provides a conducive learning environment supported by ICT-enabled classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, modern computing facilities, and a resource-rich library. Faculty members continuously upgrade their knowledge through training, research, and industry interaction, ensuring that students receive relevant and industry-aligned education. We actively promote experiential learning through internships, industrial visits, industry collaborations, and participation in technical activities, enabling students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
TEC also emphasizes ethical values, professional responsibility, gender sensitivity, and environmental consciousness. Through initiatives such as NSS, institutional committees, and outreach activities, we strive to develop socially responsible engineers who contribute positively to society. Our academic processes incorporate continuous internal assessment, transparent evaluation, and structured mentoring to support student progress and academic success.
In alignment with NEP 2020 and autonomy initiatives, TEC is strengthening its academic ecosystem by integrating multidisciplinary learning, skill-based education, and industry-relevant certifications. Our focus is to nurture technically competent, innovative, and ethically responsible professionals capable of addressing real-world challenges and contributing to technological advancement.
