Prof. Dr. Chandrashekhar Choudhari is a distinguished academician with over 25 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, noted for excellence in education, education, research, and industry collaboration. He obtained his Ph.D. from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), University of Mumbai in 2015, and completed his M.E. in Machine Design from VJTI and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Amravati University.
He began his academic career at Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology, Vashi, and later served at Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, Mumbai. Since 2018, he has been serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Terna Engineering College, Navi Mumbai, contributing significantly to academic excellence, research promotion, and institutional development. He is also a National Council Member of the Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) and a Board of Studies Member in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Mumbai (2022–2026).
As Dean – Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) and SIRO Coordinator at Terna Public Charitable Trust, Prof. Choudhari plays a key leadership role in strengthening industry–academia partnerships and fostering innovation-driven research initiatives. He provides strategic direction to key institutional cells including the Training & Placement Office (TPO), Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell), Alumni Cell, and Higher Education Cell (HEC), ensuring structured planning, measurable outcomes, and strong industry engagement.
Under his leadership, initiatives focus on enhancing student employability, promoting entrepreneurship and start-up culture, facilitating higher education opportunities, and encouraging consultancy and technology transfer activities. Through SIRO-recognized research initiatives supported by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India, he actively promotes interdisciplinary research, industry-supported projects, and innovation aligned with national priorities and global sustainable development goals. His efforts contribute significantly to strengthening institutional research capabilities, promoting indigenous technology development, and advancing industry-relevant engineering education.
