India today stands at a transformative moment in its journey toward becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047. National initiatives such as Atmanirbhar Bharat, Startup India, the India AI Mission, and the technology foresight programs of TIFAC emphasize innovation, technological leadership, and self-reliance as the foundation of the nation’s future. Institutions of higher education must therefore evolve into engines of research, innovation, and industry-driven learning.
At Terna Engineering College, our strategic vision is to align education, research, and innovation with these national missions. By integrating Artificial Intelligence, digital technologies, and Industry 4.0 practices into our academic ecosystem, we aim to develop engineers who are capable of designing solutions, building technologies, and contributing to India’s technological advancement.
A key strength of our institution is the Terna Trust ecosystem, which brings together engineering, medical, dental, nursing, and physiotherapy institutions, creating a powerful interdisciplinary environment. Combined with our recognition as a SIRO (Scientific and Industrial Research Organization) centre, this ecosystem enables meaningful research, innovation, and collaboration that address both industrial and societal challenges.
Inspired by the vision of Startup India, we encourage our students to cultivate innovation and entrepreneurship, transforming ideas into impactful technologies and ventures that strengthen India’s technological self-reliance.
As Ratan Tata wisely observed, iron cannot be destroyed from the outside—it is destroyed by its own rust. Likewise, an individual or institution is limited not by external forces, but by its own mindset. At Terna, we believe progress begins with the courage to think boldly, innovate continuously, and push beyond our own limitations.
Our commitment is clear—to build an institution that nurtures engineers, innovators, and entrepreneurs who will contribute meaningfully to a self-reliant, technologically advanced, and globally respected India.
