A hearty welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Terna College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai. In this institute, Mechanical Engineering started in 2014 with the intake of 60 seats. Later on, it was increased to 120 seats in the year 2017. The academic team consists of 16 Teaching Faculty members, 04 Technical staff and 03 supporting staff. Two faculty members having PhD qualification. Total student strength of 392(SE to TE).

Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and core branches of engineering. It is rapidly spreading its wings in an interdisciplinary field. Hence, in near future, an increase in the demand of skilled Mechanical Engineers in different sectors/industries is expected. Our goal for undergraduate students is to give them a quality education with the emphasis on Project Based Learning which will be useful to the Industry and Society at large.

The department has well equipped laboratories as per the curriculum with high-end software used in industry. The Machine Shop has received a Center of Excellence certification from Godrej & Boyce. The CNC lab has two Industrial Grade CNC Lathe and Milling Machines. Our students bring laurels by succeeding in various International/National technical competitions. We have a strong culture of encouraging students to understand real life challenges through activities like SUPRA, GO KART etc. The department has active student chapters of professional bodies like SAE, ISHRAE, ASHRAE, and MESA.
